I am planning to cycle more than 4,100 miles round the coast of Britain to raise £1 million in
the form of 100,000 single, one off, £10 donations from each of my sponsors to cover the entire length of my ride.
The aim of this sponsored ride is to raise funds to support the opening of the world’s first Rare Dementia Support Centre at the National Institute for Neurology in Queen
Square, London in December 2025.

Some £6.0 million has already been raised by corporate sponsors and I am trying to raise the final £1 million in the next few months tomake this project a reality.

I will be covering all my own accommodation and food expenses along the journey; I will follow roads close to the coast of England, Wales and Scotland, over a distance of 4,100 miles, climbing hills with a combined total elevation of 57,000 meters – almost the equivalent
of climbing Mount Everest from sea level, every week for the seven or so weeks of the trip.

Every penny raised will go directly to the Rare Dementia Support Centre …. helping doctors and scientists achieve their aim of advancing their understanding of this debilitating condition.
